WMD water company safety project
For WMD Waterleidingmaatschappij Drenthe, we carried out a safety project in which existing cage ladders were replaced by fixed stairs. The work was carried out at all outdoor tank storage facilities at eight water treatment locations. The aim of this project was to increase safety and improve accessibility.

Replacing cage ladders with GRP custom work
1. The question
WMD wanted to replace the existing cage ladders with a more sustainable and safer solution. Cage ladders pose an increased risk of falling and are less comfortable to use. The new solution had to provide safe and easy access to the installations, without any risk of falling. The project involved various locations, each with its own circumstances and conditions.
2. Our approach
After receiving the request, we visited and inspected all locations on site. During this inspection, the existing situations were assessed and the possibilities for each location were mapped out. By taking physical measurements, customised solutions could be developed. Based on this, a suitable quotation was drawn up.
3. The solution
After the order was placed, the stairs were fully customised, produced, assembled and fully installed on site. The result is safe, durable and low-maintenance access to the outdoor tank storage.
