Marinas & maritime

Within marinas and maritime applications, GRP gratings and GRP structures are used in locations where moisture, salt, fluctuating water levels and intensive outdoor use play a major role. Examples include jetties, walkways, platforms and maintenance facilities in and around ports.

GRP gratings are used as walkable walkways and work floors, often in close proximity to water. We also supply complete GRP structures, such as platforms, stairs, ladders and handrails, tailored to the specific requirements of maritime environments.

The use of GRP in marinas and maritime projects offers clear advantages:

  • excellent corrosion resistance in salty and wet environments,
  • low-maintenance use with a long service life,
  • anti-slip properties for safe walking, even in wet and winter conditions.

Due to its low weight and flexibility in dimensions, GRP is easy to install on existing jetties and structures. This makes the material suitable for both new construction and renovation of harbour infrastructure.

We work together with port managers, contractors and yacht builders and contribute ideas on material selection, detailing and practical applicability, so that GRP solutions are integrated into the maritime environment in a sustainable and functional manner.
