For this project, FlexxCon created a durable GRP embankment staircase that allows safe descent and ascent along an embankment. The staircase is designed for intensive use in a demanding outdoor environment, with maximum attention to safety, slip resistance and a long, low-maintenance service life.

GRP plastic staircase

1. The request

We constructed a GRP embankment staircase to enable safe descent and ascent along an embankment. The staircase was installed in an outdoor environment where durability, safety and low-maintenance materials are essential.

2. Our approach

The client was looking for a sustainable and safe solution for differences in height in the terrain. The staircase had to be suitable for intensive outdoor use, offer good slip resistance and be resistant to weather influences, without requiring periodic maintenance.

3. The solution

FlexxCon designed and developed the embankment staircase entirely in GRP, tailored to the situation on site. A lightweight but structurally strong construction was chosen, with attention to ergonomics, walkability and safe handrails. All details were designed with easy installation and a long service life in mind.
