Grate clip set with disc for 38 x 38 mesh. This set consists of 3 parts: the grate clamp, the disc and M8x70 bolt + M8 square nut. The clip set is suitable for grates with a height of 25, 30 and 38 mm.

  • GRP gratings can be attached or fixed in various ways, depending on the substructure, the application and the degree to which the grating needs to be secured. Below, we explain the most commonly used attachment methods.

    1️. Attaching to the flange of a supporting profile

    GRP gratings are often placed on a steel or GRP profile and secured with grating clamps that clamp under the flange.

    2. Fixing to a box profile (e.g. with U-brackets)

    When gratings are placed on a box profile, they can be fixed with U-brackets or similar mechanical fasteners.

    Due to the wide variety of box-type profiles, we supply these U-brackets on request and do not usually stock them. We will be happy to provide you with a price and lead time quotation.

    3. Fastening to steel profiles with welded or screwed studs

    In industrial and offshore applications, GRP gratings are regularly fastened to steel profiles with fixed studs. The gratings are placed over the studs and a plate with internal thread is placed on the grating.

    4. Installation on a flat surface

    GRP gratings can also be installed on a flat surface, such as concrete or a closed floor.

    5. Connecting gratings to each other

    When several gratings are placed next to each other, they can be connected to each other with connection sets.

    The correct fastening depends, among other things, on:

    • the type of substructure,
    • the load and application,
    • accessibility (e.g. for maintenance),
    • and environmental factors such as wind, vibrations or offshore conditions.

  • Standard GRP gratings from stock can be shipped immediately and are often delivered within 1–2 working days.

    Customised GRP gratings are cut from stock panels. The exact delivery time depends on the desired dimensions and the current cutting schedule.
    It is best to discuss the shortest lead time with you personally.

    Due to their complexity, GRP structures (such as stairs, landings and platforms) usually have a longer lead time.
    However, we are flexible in planning and production and can, where possible, step up to speed up projects.
